Hydra Skypoint GPS 65 on vöörimootor, millel 65lb tõukejõudu, 12V toitepinge ja jala pikkuseks 54” (137cm). Ehk siis näitajatelt igati sobilik väiksematele, kuni 5.2 m paatidele taevaankruna toimetamiseks. Kui see 65lb on tõene, siis on Hydra isegi 20% võimsam mootor kui Eestis levinud MotorGuide või Minn Kota 55lb 12V mootorid. Mootori päritolu kohta täpsemad andmed puuduvad. Maaletooja väitel pannakse see kokku miskis endises MotorGuide tehases. Eks paljud sõlmed toodetakse nagunii Hiinas või mujal Aasias, aga see on täna samamoodi juba pea kõigil toodetel.
Tehnilistelt andmetelt on mootor üpris sarnane muudele 12V mootoritele. Toiteallikana on soovitav kasutada plii- või liitium-püsitoiteakut, optimaalse mahtuvusega vahemikus 80-120Ah. Klassikalised elektrolüüt-käivitusakud sellele valule eriti pikalt vastu ei pea. Toitejuhtmeid pikendades tuleks kasutada 10-16mm2 läbimõõduga kaableid, kuna seal võib suurema koormuse korral liikuda kuni 50A voolu.
Mootori vettelaskmine käib käsitsi, lukustuspedaali allavajutamisega nagu enamikul vöörimootoritel. Sügavuse regulaatoriks on jalal asuv muudetava asendiga klamberfiksaator.
Mootori pult on ekraaniga ja töötab patareide peal (3 tk standardseid AAA patareisid). Madala taustvalguse puhul on patareide kestvuseks kuni 100 tundi. Patareide vahetamine on lihtne, tasub neid lihtsalt paadis kaasas omada. Puldi abiga tehakse esmasel sisselülitamisel ka kalibreerimised ja häälestused (nt paadi suuruse fikseerimine), mis tagavad mootori parema töö. Lisaks puldile on mootoril võimalik kasutada ka jalapedaali.
